To Do or Not To Do

{young'ns}

I'm 23 and about to become a mom.
Because of that...
A million thoughts bombard me morning, noon, and night.
Breastfeeding? Cloth diapers? Can I sneak a Starbucks gift card onto the baby registry?

And, whether or not I should put my nose ring back in.
Otherwise known as a Quarter.Life.Crisis.

I've had it off and on for the past 5 years.
Or I guess, "in and out."

In when I lived in Hawaii.
Out when I lived in Africa.
In when I was a barista.
Out when I was a nanny.
In during the normal everyday.
Out during my wedding day.

In/Out? as a stay at home mama in Oregon?

I'm still cool enough to pull it off, right?

It'll pair nicely with the mom jeans.

xoxo

  1. Such a rebel! :P

Be prepared for "the looks" from other moms. Those darn nose rings.

I think it's cute, keep it in.

  2. i think you should definitely keep the nose ring. you can pull it off, especially with a baby on your hip. just because you're going to be a mom doesn't mean you're too old for a nose ring - in my opinion, you still have a few more years before a nose ring is unacceptable! ;D

  4. I have my nose pierced too. I did it when I was 15. (6 yrs ago) and I am always taking it in and out. Just kinda depends on my mood or outfit. Right now, it's not in. But you look adorable with it.

  5. eeek I can imagine all that would be more than a little over whelming. I'm 22 & married so I feel like I can relate a teeny bit, but you're gonna be a great MOM & i vote nose ring!!!

  7. Yo, don't play us mommas down. We can rock a nose ring better than them rock stars. Ok, I can't. But YOU totally could.

  8. I say if you want it in one day then wear it, and if you don't then out with it! hehe

but I want to hear more about you living in Hawaii and AFRICA! your life really interests me (meant in the most non-creepy-stalkery kind of way)

  9. I say keep it in! You shouldn't have to change the way you look just because you'll be a mama.
    Do what feels best :)

  10. If you love it, keep it in! There is no reason not to and for heaven's sake, if you can't get away with it in Portland, where will you? Get it girl.

  11. i constantly wonder about this with my belly ring. IN OR OUT!?!

i mean im sure it will pop out when im preggo. that will be painful OUCH

but i think you should wear it when you want and take it out when you dont! just dont wear it when you're about to give birth because baby bean might reach up and yank on it

wait are babies strong enough to do that when they are just born?? #clueless

    your so purrty

  12. In. You're definitely cool enough for it. But if the baby starts grabbing for it, take it out before he has a chance to rip your nose off!

  13. nose ring: DUH
    Cloth Diapers: gross but frugal
    Breast feeding: DEF!
    Mom Jeans: way cool :)

  14. In until the baby learns to grab, then out until the baby learns not to grab and rip.

There are so many good things attached to breastfeeding. It is so good for the baby (keeps them healthy) and studies have shown it makes them smarter. Plus it burns a TON of calories, so you can eat more cake. :)

    Don't know about the diapers.

  15. I think you can totally rock it! as long as baby doesn't try to redecorate your face (:

  16. you can absolutely rock that nose ring! Plus, it's not like you are committing to something. One day you can have it in and the next out! I'm hoping to get my nose pierced sometime next month!
    They are so cute.

  17. You're SO cool enough to pull it off. It's adorbs. As long as your babe doesn't start grabbing at it like a toy, I vote IN! :) Xo, Katie

  18. ahhh I'm cracking up!!
Definitely IN until that baby starts yanking and grabbing at everything on you.. then OUT. Rock that nose ring while you can bc sooner or later those little fingers will start attacking your face. My niece (11 months) bit me this past sunday.. bit my cheek. what?

  19. Keep it! It keeps you looking young and fresh. Everyone will just think you're babysitting! ;) And you...in mom jeans! Ha! You will never wear the stereotypical mom jean you're too thin and cute! :)

  25. You are definitely cool enough to pull it off! In fact, you are probably one of the only people that I would tell that to! You make the nose ring look good!

  26. I finally got brave enough to pierce my nose earlier this summer... I then found out I was pregnant in July.
There is no way I went through that punch in the face just to have it for a few months. Mine is staying, and so should yours!

  27. I totally vote in!! You look super cute with it!!

    ReplyDelete
  28. No doubt in my mind that you'll pull it all off. You were meant to have this little bean now, which means you're going to be a FANTASTIC mom!

  32. Absolutely rock the nose ring! BTW< I feel like you have experienced the world's fastest pregnancy or something. And also the cutest. And another btw, I am like 99 years older than you. Holy moley. And also, mom jeans are fully acceptable as long as they are paige denim. Rockstar Bonnie is almost a Mommy!! xox!

  33. I am 23 and pregnant as well- and totally with you on all those crazy things to think about.

Ima sayin no to cloth diapers. As for the nose ring- you look cute either way:-) Not my thing, but you can pull anything off.

  34. One of my friends has three kids and she kept her nose ring. She can totally pull it off. Another friend took hers out when she had kids. I love mine and would probably leave mine in. Personal preference! :)

  36. I can't believe you're 23! I'm 22 and can't imagine having a kid...brave girl!! I'm battling the same thing with my nose ring.. I have it out for my 40 hour a week job but then I sometimes want to wear it on the weekends. But I can't decide if wearing it once a week is enough to keep it in :/.

  38. In. Although...I'm a little biased, since I'm 27 and have one myself that I completely plan on keeping in post-baby :). Plus...you're only 23...you've got plenty of time to take it out later!

    ReplyDelete
  39. I say do your thing girl. Wear it when you want, don't when you don't! Plus you live in Portland so no one should care ;)
