Operation Surprise Party

I'm exhausted.
Exhausted from planning a surprise 25th birthday party for Daniel.
Exhausted from making cupcakes, ice cream cake, pulled pork, sweet potato fries, macaroni/cheese, baked beans, etc. etc.

{Mainly} exhausted from keeping it all a secret for over a month.
And lying up a storm the past seven days.

"What'd you guys do today?" ..."uhhh, baking day...all day with Rachael."
"Did you bring any of it home?" ..."ummm, it's all for Thanksgiving. and Christmas."
"What's all that meat for?"... "uhhh, it was on sale, and I'm gonna cook it and freeze it and...and then we'll eat it. All 12 lbs. of it. Yeah."
"What movie do you want to watch?" ..."what is this, 20 questions?!" Leave me be man!"

Edginess and paranoia were beginning to set in.

I feel so free now, (I've heard the truth will do that for you and whatnot).

Thankfully, NFL Red Zone and a pizza kept the stud hubs busy for most of Sunday, as everything was being set up over at my parents' house.

He had no clue.

And he was so spoiled and loved on.

Nothing else makes my heart happier.

xoxo

  25. It's so torturous to have to lie about this kind of stuff! It makes me have anxiety and guilt still ha ha! So glad it was a success!! :)

  27. That sounds like so much fun! My boyfriend still has two years before turning 25 which is his fav #. I want to plan something big for him. For his 22nd birthday I gave him 22 gifts throughout the day from small thoughful ones to materialistic(I didn't have $ when he turned 21). He liked it so hopefully I can come up with something good too. It's always hard to keep secrets when they are too fun and exciting to hold in. Thanks for stopping by my blog I try to get beauty products on sales since sometimes they can get pricy. Take care and have a great week!

  32. Aw, happy birthday to your Daniel!
And you totally deserve the best wifey award for throwing him a surprise party... and getting away with it! :)

  33. Haha-Hilarious! I’m the worst with keeping secrets. I tell people, “please don’t tell me any secrets.” One of my gf’s is prego (only told me, the husband and her family) and I’ve probably blurted it out six times. And I guess this makes seven, dang it. :-)

Glad he was surprised and everyone had fun! 12lbs of meat. Pork BBQ. Yum Yum!

  34. This is great! You're the best wife (: I'm sure he adored every second of it.

  35. Requirements Of A Career Stage1: Preparation of work While California has been hit harder than most of the US in the Great Recession, its also considered the bright spot in the emerging field of green jobs in this country. Nationwide, the clean and green economy, which includes solar panel installation, making electric vehicles, and managing public transportation, employs 2.7 million people. That's more than the fossil fuel industry, according to a study by the Brookings Institution. Nearly 320,000 of them work in California, with about 90,000 of those jobs in the LA metro area.
