Shake Your Bon Bon

{this post is rated PG. I think}

While I was at Walmart, picking up some photos, I had an epiphany.
It was twofold.

1). Walmart in the Pacific Northwest is deeeeepressing. Whenever my southern belle cousin Sara visits (from Arkansas), she can't believe how sad they are.

2). I normally would order my prints from Walgreens.

But. I had "THE" pictures developed there.

"THE" pictures were part of a wedding gift to Daniel, from me.
Me ala boudoir photo shoot. ooo-la-la.
And in a time crunch, I sent them to Walgreens. 1-hour pick-up. good idea.
About 2 minutes after I clicked "order," I realized...no. bad idea.
Cute, little, ol' twinkly-eyed grandpas work at Walgreens.
As do pimply-faced hormone filled teenage boys.
Neither of which I would want to face after being "hot off the presses."

Basically. I wimped out.
I sent a friend inside to pick them up.
And I have yet to brave the use of their print services since then.

Thanks for that life reminder, Walmart.
I am forever enslaved to your dreary photo processing center.

xoxo

  1. LOL at the thought of the old grandpas looking at your photos! I can see why that might have been a tad awkward! I think I would have sent a friend to get them for me too!

  4. This post just made me giggle and shake my head, you Walgreens exile you. Walmart is scary...I vote for owning your boudoir shots with pride and marching right into Walgreens next time and just dare the grandpas to recognize you.

  7. And THAT'S why I use online printing. Adorama or snapfish, or even the iPhoto printing through mac. Anything but having to face people who have now perused my personal life!

  8. haha...that is so funny! I would send a friend in to pick them up too. It's kinda weird imagining people looking at your pics right? It freaks me out if I think about it too hard.

  14. You are so gorgeous! And I'm impressed that you even got your pictures printed. I took mine over a year ago, and I still have yet to work up the courage to get them printed somewhere. So my husband keeps them on his phone, like a creeper. Someday I'll get one printed and we'll put it up somewhere private :)

  15. Gorgeous photos! You look LOVELY!! Sorry your Walmart's are crappy and you have to go there. I find walmarts are hit and miss. It all depends on how recently they've been remodeled, whether they are the super walmart, etc... No fun!

  16. Ooops! haha I don't blame you, I would've been way too chicken to go pick them up!

  17. Haha sounds awkward. Well, I hope you don't have to suffer through too many more Walmart adventures because yes, that place is the epitome of depressing.

Um... and now there's SUPER Walmart? What gives?!

  22. So pretty! And how fun, I want to do that for my husband as a wedding gift someday. But yes, getting them printed might not happen at a walmart for me. Or anywhere in person for that matter...

  23. ooooh, i feel like it's maybe the opposite here in nashville! i'm not sure i'd want walmart workers seeing my sexay photos! walmart can get a litttttle craycray.

Question, are you happy you did this photo shoot? I've really been thinking about doing this for my hubs lately. But I don't know anyone else who has done this to talk about it. I mean, not that I want details haha. Just your opinion?!
