An unusually sunny February afternoon overlooking the Willamette Valley, not too long ago
(two years long ago to be precise)
nervously holding hands and fizzy glasses brimming with bubbly,
we celebrated his question and my answer.

These are the photos we'll be sharing with our children and grandchildren someday.

He'll say he wasn't nervous. I'll say he got me tipsy.

And we'll still be holding hands
and celebrating.
