So Fresh and So Clean Clean

{1 bucket=shower in Africa. Squeaky clean}

If I believed in the Chinese Zodiac calendar, then I would dub 2011 as the Year of the Water Heater.

{the extent of my superstitious beliefs is when I read a fortune cookie and add "in bed" at the end}

We're still recovering from {this} night, so when our hot water turned cold this week we promptly called a professional and shivered through a 3.6 minute shower in the meantime.

For 3.6 minutes I wished I had my "summer as a boy" short hair again.

Maybe the Big Guy in the Sky is trying to teach us to never take warm water for granted?
Maybe we're being prepared for life back in Rwanda. The Land of a Thousand Hills and Cold Bucket Showers.
Maybe this is all just a part of being an adult.

Oooh. so deep.
hello goosebumps.

xoxo

Oh no!
I love my hot water too much!
I wouldn't be brave enough to have a cold shower!

We do have showers in Africa, you know! Haha
It's just that they tend to gather in cities and more to the south.

I also had a cold shower this morning. But it was all thanks to my beau showering too long. I must remember to thank him for that.

Brrrr! i'd rather go showerless than take a cold shower...no matter how hot it is, i just can't seem to do cold showers. i'm impressed you survived 3.6 minutes :).

hope you're having a good week mama!

This late into pregnancy and the oppressive Texas heat, cold showers are all I want! But, on a normal day, I like my hot showers :-) Hope you get your hot water back soon!

In my opinion there is nothing worse than a cold shower! Glad your hot water is back :)

I love your thoughts!! And I didn't know you had short hair, that's what i have right now. With the earthquake, aftershock, all the rain, hurricanes, early school mornings, it is deffinitely a blessing.

Xoxo, mermaid

shower time is so beloved for me, i know i take a way too long one and must repent but man alive you really have been put through the ringer with these water boiler blues. i gotta say, you can make any story come alive with how you write it. love these kinds of everyday life shares and girl....i hope no more brain freezes occur. ♥
