After last week's sunshine taunt, I quietly tucked away delusions of yellow polka dot bikini grandeur yesterday morning.
Spring will come, all in due time.
Right, Oregon? Right?!
I may or may not have not-so-quietly yelled that out the window at 8AM. with a little fist shaking action.
Then we, {I} proceeded to, {simmer down}, whittle the hours away nestled underneath cozy fleece blankets, and scurrying outside for a fresh air-espresso run. Blasting equal parts heat and Coldplay in the car.
It was a day filled with books, candles, slippers, and cuddling.
Plus, rice krispy treats and hot cocoa for breakfast and lunch.
That's right Oregon.
breakfast and lunch.
You can't snow on my parade.

What gorgeous photos and yes, you're so right. Spring must get here soon. It's been raining way too much in SF this week.
Nice post

We just got done having a nice warm bit of weather in Feb and now that it's Spring I have a 10 day forecast of rain! Oh well, I like the balance. I love your pictures too btw. My little one has those sock moccasins too =)

Aww I love the tiny little slippers!
Coziness!
With the final days of winter upon us, there's no better time to take a look at some videos of the cutest animals tumbling in various winter wonderlands.
Don't get me wrong, I am excited for spring and all, but I am a little jealous of your snow!! :) I have always lived in the south, but this year I moved to the deep south (yes there is a difference) and I have only had to wear a coat about 5 times. Sad. Lovely pictures.

You definitely know how to show that snow whose boss! Rice crispy treats and hot chocolate sound amazing.
spring is such a tease! we get a peek and then back to winter again.
Your day sounds wonderful!!!
You see? You get to cuddle and not get all sweaty from the other person's body heat...because that's what happens in this Southern California 75+ degree weather. Gross, right? Sunshine?? Blek. Who wants that?!
I thought the succulent was in the mason jar and got really excited. That never works for me. But the candle holder is just as good :)
I really do hope there is no more snow this year. I'm ready for some sun.
i really cannot take how adorable those baby slippers are with the little puppies on them. is it wrong they i really want them just to look at even though i don't have a baby?
your breakfast and lunch sound a lot like mine on most days. today i had a mini carton of chocolate milk and a granola bar for breakfast...although I decided to up my game and make an egg sandwich for lunch...most days I subsist on string cheese and granola bars all day until craig gets home and makes us real food :).
it has been GLORIOUS here in rochester for the past week or so. if it starts pulling an Oregon and going back to snow and slush, i'm going to beat somebody.
yes, krispy treats for breakfast and lunch! yes!
This winter is crazy, isn't it? It's going to be over 75 here on Monday, but this morning I saw my breath. I can't even handle it. I'm glad you're not letting it snow on your parade though :)
I hate to tell you this, but it was 82 and sunny here in NC!!
Sounds like a wonderful day!! Love your blog. Mmm rice krispy treats!
love the images... especially the candles in mason jars. so cute!! hope spring hits oregon soon!
